Junior School Council
Promoting student voice and making a difference
The Junior School Council (JSC) at Birmingham Primary School serves as the voice of our students. This group, together with teacher coordinators, represents the perspectives, concerns, and ideas of the student body. Their role involves actively engaging with both the school and the broader community to ensure students’ views are heard and considered.
An active JSC is in place, with an elected member from each Prep to Grade 6 class. Student representatives are elected annually by their peers.
Some recent initiatives of the Council include:
- Walk to School day
- Australian Koala Foundation fundraiser
- Pets of the Homeless fundraiser
- Christmas appeal
